Protection is an action, resource, or capability designed to reduce or eliminate a vulnerability. At EMERGILITY™ we enhance your protection through professional training & consulting, along with integrated and leading practices found in Protective Security & Protective Medicine™.
Protection refers to keeping someone or something safe. It includes measures taken to preserve someone or something from damage or harm. People, property, finances, health, reputation, or perception are commonly selected assets (people, places and things) needing protection.
Protective Security is our risk-based practice of protecting an asset against a broad range of physical, industrial, environmental, socio-political, or medical threats and risks.
Protective Medicine is our multidisciplinary approach to delivering private, urgent, and emergency medical services to minimize medical-vulnerability amid discreet and protective care settings.
EMERGILITY™ leverages a variety of protection measures and practices to identify, assess, and manage (prevent, protect-against, mitigate, respond-to...) internal and external threats and risks.
Risk is the potential of harm to You (the asset), in consideration of impact and the probability a vulnerability will be exploited by a threat
Protective Security is a risk management strategy designed to reduce risk by minimizing or eliminating vulnerability to human threats.
It requires payment in exchange for private access to personal security, close protection, and private investigation services.
Insurance is a risk-management strategy that protects against financial loss by transferring risk.
It requires payment of a premium in exchange for financial compensation during a loss. Homes, cars, life, and health are commonly insured items. Insurance does not cover all health costs.
Protective Medicine™ is a risk management strategy designed to reduce risk by minimizing or eliminating vulnerability to medical threats.
It requires payment in exchange for meaningful and timely access to private care not covered by health insurance or public services.
You cannot achieve Protection in the absence of Security. It's for this reason we integrate protective security, private investigation, and protective intelligence with protective medical services.
You cannot achieve Protection in the absence of Medicine. It's for this reason we offer protective medical services as security and protection for client-patients, private businesses, and public agencies.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel (EMRs, EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics) are often required for special public events, large private gatherings, or private security close protection details. In most states, pre-hospital EMS providers must affiliate with an authorized EMS Agency in order to provide care to clients and patients at events or during protective details.
We work with private businesses, organizations, and security agencies to provide medical-security consulting, EMS staffing support, medical oversight, and Agency affiliation for EMS-credentialed security personnel.
"Hospice care is for terminally ill patients who decide to forgo curative treatment and instead receive palliative care. To be eligible, a patient must be certified as having a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course." - HHS OIG
EMERGILITY™ is not a Hospice provider. Rather, we fill gaps and provide enhanced services when and where Hospice cannot. As a dual Protective Security Service (PSS) & Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provider, our focus is entirely on the protection & care of client-patients.
While there are known problem areas in Hospice, our aim is to identify, mitigate, and respond to a variety of protective-medical gaps so patients & families can focus on what's most important - precious time & comfort with their loved ones.
Our approach in security, protection, and medicine is Risk-informed.
Risk is a product of threat, vulnerability, and impact. To minimize a risk, a protection measure (private medical, security, etc.) is employed to reduce or eliminate a threat by reducing vulnerability.
To determine what protection measure is best for a given protected asset (You), the client-owner must determine collaboratively with our team how much risk they are willing to accept, aligned with how much they are willing to spend on each protection measure.
This process must be objective, transparent, and evidence-based in order to make informed decisions.
More often than not, the cost of failing to protect is far greater than protection cost & fees.
