At EMERGILITY™ we enhance Protection through professional training & consulting, along with integrated and leading practices found in Protective Security & Protective Medicine™.
At EMERGILITY™, Protective Security is our risk-based practice of protecting an asset against a broad range of physical, industrial, environmental, socio-political, and medical threats and risks.
EMERGILITY™ leverages a variety of protection measures, practices, and tools to effectively identify, assess, and protect clients against various internal and external threats and risks.
Protection is the action, resource, or capability designed to reduce or eliminate a vulnerability.
Vulnerability is any weakness that can be exploited by a threat to harm an asset.
Threat is any person, event, or circumstance having the potential to harm an asset.
Assets include any person, place, or thing having a positive value to a protected client.
Risk is the potential to harm an asset, taking into consideration the impact and likelihood a vulnerability will be exploited by a threat.
Impact is the damage following a successful assault or exploitation of an asset.
Probability is the likelihood that a vulnerability will be exploited by a threat.
Cost, with respect to protection implementation costs, tangible and intangible.
Establishing protection measures to achieve an acceptable level of risk at an acceptable cost.
The process of identifying, characterizing, analyzing, and determining a potential or credible threat, to include threat vulnerability, faced by an asset.
The process of determining the probability of a threat successfully exploiting a vulnerability and the impact on an asset. This assessment informs protection measure selection.
Appetite and tolerance represent the amount of risk or exposure a client, owner, or organization is willing to accept, taking into consideration the costs and benefits of protection across various risk groups.
Once risks have been identified and assessed, and the risk appetite and tolerance has been established, various risk management strategies can be considered: accept, avoid, reduce, transfer, etc.
Risk is a product of threat, vulnerability, and impact. To minimize a risk, a protection measure is employed to reduce or eliminate a threat by reducing vulnerability.
To determine what protection measure is best for a given protected asset, the client-owner must determine collaboratively with the Protective Security team how much risk they are willing to accept, aligned with how much they are willing to spend on each protection measure.
This process must be objective, transparent, and evidence-based in order to make informed decisions.
You cannot achieve Protection in the absence of Security. It's for this reason we integrate protective security, private investigation, and protective intelligence with protective medical services.
You cannot achieve Protection in the absence of Medicine. It's for this reason we offer protective medical services as security and protection for client-patients, private businesses, and public agencies.
"Hospice care is for terminally ill patients who decide to forgo curative treatment and instead receive palliative care. To be eligible, a patient must be certified as having a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course." - HHS OIG
EMERGILITY™ is not a Hospice provider. Rather, we fill gaps and provide enhanced services when and where Hospice cannot. As a dual Protective Security Service (PSS) & Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provider, our focus is entirely on the protection & care of client-patients.
While there are known problem areas in Hospice, our aim is to identify, mitigate, and respond to a variety of protective-medical gaps so patients & families can focus on what's most important - precious time & comfort with their loved ones.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel (EMRs, EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics) are often required for special public events, large private gatherings, or private security close protection details. In most states, pre-hospital EMS providers must affiliate with an authorized EMS Agency in order to provide care to clients and patients at events or during protective details.
We work with private businesses, organizations, and security agencies to provide medical-security consulting, EMS staffing support, medical oversight, and Agency affiliation for EMS-credentialed security personnel.
